
Dr. Han Wentao won the 4th Chimelong Sailing Award of the Zoological Society of China
Recently, the 19th Member Congress of the Chinese Zoological Society and the 26th Academic annual meeting was held in Kunming, the meeting announced the list of winners of the fourth Chinese Zoological Society Chimelong Award, laboratory Dr. Han Wentao won the Chinese Zoological Society Chimelong Award "Sailing Award". At the invitation of the conference, Dr. Han Wentao gave an academic report entitled "Mechanism of Homeostastic Maintenance of Ancient Isomorphic chromosomes in Shellfish", winner of the Chimelong Award and winner of the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Talent Project, introducing the important progress made by the research group in the direction of sex determination and evolution of ancient isomorphic chromosomes in shellfish.
The Chimelong Prize was jointly established by the Chinese Zoological Society and Chimelong Charity Foundation to recognize zoological scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the field of zoology research and promote the sustainable and high-quality development of zoology. The awards are divided into five categories: "Merit Award", "Achievement Award", "International Scholar Award", "Rising Star Award" and "Sailing Award". Among them, the Qihang Prize is mainly awarded to young Chinese scientists aged 35 and below who have demonstrated outstanding potential in zoological research.
